Visitors to the Teledyne TSS stand at Oceanology (Stand No D100) will be among the first to view the newest additions to this well-respected company’s advanced product range.

With its reputation having been built on motion sensor technology, visitors will be able to witness the launch of yet another addition to the company’s comprehensive range. The DMS-535RP will be seen for the first time at the show as the latest addition to the company’s new DMS-500 group of products. These have all been developed specifically to meet the needs of users who require a top-quality motion sensor with Ethernet connectivity, but do not require the subsea-rated housings that typify Teledyne TSS products. The company is now steadily unveiling a range of conservatively-priced sensors in the DMS-500 range that incorporate a number of advanced and innovative features for applications such as Dynamic Positioning (DP), wave height and structural stress monitoring. The new DMS-535RP has been developed to provide a unique combination of accurate roll and pitch measurement combined with power and data over Ethernet.

For many visitors to Oceanology it will also be their first opportunity to see the new OrionPLUS inertial navigation system which was launched in November last year. This is an advanced instrument that is considered ideal for users in the hydrographic and offshore survey and subsea construction sectors needing a product that can provide precise attitude, heading and heave data for a wide range of applications such as supporting multi-beam sonar surveys or the construction of major seabed installations. Teledyne TSS has already received its first order for an OrionPLUS from a leading offshore operator needing a dependable and competitively priced reference system. As an experienced user of Teledyne TSS products, the customer was able to trust the company’s reputation for service and reliability and become the first to invest in this new addition to the company’s product range.

Surveyors visiting the show will be aware that the Teledyne TSS reputation has also been built upon its expertise as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of gyro compasses that are sold under the TSS and S G Brown brand names. The company’s modern factory near Watford, UK is the source of this precision engineered product range at the top of which is the successful Meridian Surveyor gyrocompass which will also be on show at Oceanology. It will be sharing the stand with an example from the company’s world-leading subsea pipe and cable trackers. The Dualtrack system has won the confidence of all of the leading installation and survey contractors and is now the world’s most widely used pipe and cable tracker and will be an important feature at the Oceanology show.
