Reservoir Exploration Technology ASA (RXT) has received final contract award from Hess Equatorial Guinea, Inc. for an Ocean Bottom Cable survey on the Elon Field area of the Okume Field off the coast of Equatorial Guinea, West Africa.
The objective of the project is to replicate a 2003 streamer survey making the Ocean Bottom Cable survey a 4D monitor survey.
The total survey duration is expected to be 42 days and the estimated contract value is $13 million.
The project is scheduled to commence in January 2012 with planned completion in February 2012. Hess’ partners in the block are Tullow Oil and GE Petrol.
