A Swedish firm known as Ocean Explorer found a remarkable object, using their sonar technology, in the depths of the Baltic Sea.

Their sonar images show that the object is an enormous cylinder with a 60-meter diameter and a 400 meter-long tail.

While the Ocean Explorer team is clearly excited about their potential earth-shattering discovery, others are slightly more skeptical and are pondering the accuracy of the sonar technology.

The Ocean Explorer team is looking for financial backers to aid the cost of the discovery process, and is calling for interested traders on their website.

They are waiting for the weather conditions to calm and to permit a manned expedition to take place.

The company has created a submarine that they hope will appeal to visitors and aspirant shipwreck hunters who will pay to take a trip down to the bottom of the Baltic Sea to see the discovery themselves.
