MPs of Bournemouth East and South West and Gibraltar attended the wind farm scrutiny task on February 4,and enclosed the evidences on potential effects of the Navitus Bay Wind Farm, reports Bournemouth Echo.
The Navitus Bay Wind Park will have the potential to make a contribution to meeting national targets for the increased use of renewable energy, reducing the country’s dependency on fossil fuel imports and assist in addressing the causes of climate change.
Both the task and the finish group were supposed to expose possible effects of the Navitus offshore wind farm on the tourist economy.
The offshore wind farm is going to be built by Eneco and the company will organize a series of public consultations about the project.
