Amiad, a global producer of water treatment and filtration solutions, said that it has secured US$1.6m contract with Origin Energy of Australia, for the supply and commissioning of the Company’s Arkal automatic self-cleaning disc technology (Spin Klin Galaxy) for Origin’s Australia Pacific LNG project.

The APLNG project – a joint venture between Origin, ConocoPhillips and Sinopec, involves the processing of coal seam gas (CSG) to liquefied natural gas (LNG) at several sites in southern Queensland.

APLNG has Australia’s largest reserves, and is the leading producer of CSG, which is natural gas stored within coal seams that contributes to the provision of cleaner energy in Australia and international markets.

Amiad’s solution will perform pre-filtration to ensure membrane protection during the process.
