M3 Technology, a leading provider of advanced asset scheduling and optimization solutions for the oil, gas and petrochemical industries, said that it has signed a contract with Woodside Energy to supply its LNG supply chain management solution for Woodside’s North West Shelf and Pluto assets in Western Australia.

Mr. Simon Rogers, Vice President of M3 Technology , said “ M3 is honored to support Australia’s largest oil and gas resource development. We are looking forward to working with Woodside to deliver an integrated supply chain management tool consistent with best-in-class LNG supply chain management applications ”.

Ben Quartermaine, Project Manager at Woodside , said effective supply chain management reduces the risk of tank top events and supports decision making for investment or development opportunities. It is integral to the efficient operation of the North West Shelf and Pluto LNG facilities.

“ We are looking forward to working with M3 to develop a benchmark planning solution for our LNG plants ”, he said.

About the LNG supply chain management project:

Woodside evaluated various off-the-shelf solutions and selected M3 Technology’s SIMTO Scheduling. The scope of the application covers the following business processes:

The SIMTO model will cover the entire Northwest Shelf and Pluto supply chains including the offshore gas production facilities, the onshore gas plants, LNG vessels, and the LNG terminals they supply.
