Qatar’s RasGas has formally inaugurated its newly built, Zikreet office building at Ras Laffan.
The Zikreet building, a dedicated and custom designed work environment, is now home to more than 350 employees of RasGas Operations Group and the Supply Department of Management Services Group.
“ RasGas recognises its employees as one of the key factors in its success, and achieving a positive workplace experience that responds to employees’ requirements is an on-going focus with us ,” said Hamad Rashid Al Mohannadi, Managing Director of RasGas , who was present at the opening ceremony along with other members of the Executive Leadership Team and senior management of RasGas.
“ True employee engagement results from a workplace experience that meets employees’ functional and emotional requirements. The Zikreet building provides spacious offices and meeting rooms alongside social areas enabling employees to meet and engage in collaborative discussions ,” he said.
The project was executed by a collaborative effort of different teams from the Operations, Management Services, Safety, Health, Environment and Quality groups. With the contract awarded in late 2009, much of the on-site construction work was completed by the end of 2010 and the outfitting of the premises commenced immediately after that by the Facilities Management Department.
“ Safety was paramount during the construction and the outfitting process and the project was completed without any lost time incident ,” said Hamad Mubarak Al Muhannadi, RasGas Operations Group Manager based in Ras Laffan .
He added that RasGas continues to ‘build the future’ in Ras Laffan and Doha, fully committed to excellence in the work place whilst consistently achieving reliability and deliverability.
