RigNet, Inc.,a leading global provider of managed remote communications solutions to the oil and gas industry, has been chosen by TAQA Bratani Limited to deliver a managed network solution for two of its offshore production platforms in the United Kingdom (UK) sector of the North Sea, its UK office and to provide backup connectivity to its International Datacenter.

This is the second multi-year contract awarded to RigNet by TAQA Bratani.

A high-performance and secure network is a high priority for the oil and gas production community ensuring effective and reliable communications, both offshore and onshore, and access to business-critical IT applications. As part of the contract, RigNet will deliver an end-to-end network solution, ensuring TAQA Bratani derives greater value from its network services through increased standardization and innovation.

The contract extension covers enhanced networked services, including wide area and local area networks, voice and telephony infrastructure and backup connectivity to its International Datacenter. It also includes industry-leading connectivity to RigNet’s SOIL private extranet, allowing TAQA Bratani to collaborate securely and reliably with other third party companies within the oil and gas industry. The solution includes network design, equipment and installation, as well as service and 24/7 network monitoring and support from RigNet’s Network Operations Center.

“Having delivered managed communications services to TAQA Bratani for a number of years, we are very proud to be awarded an additional multi-year term,” said Andrew Byers, area manager, RigNet UK and Africa.
