Energy And Environment Foundation with the support of Ministry of Coal, Ministry of Power and Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India organized Second World PetroCoal Congress-2012 from 15th to 17th February, 2012 at Convention Centre-NDCC Parliament Street, New Delhi, India. Theme of the congress was “Synergy for Energy: Powering the Future – for Sustainable Development”.
2nd World PetroCoal Congress focused on various issues related to petroleum, natural gas, coal through creation of synergy for energy. The congress was attended by large number of national and international delegates from Australia, France, Hong Kong, Oman, Singapore, South Africa. The congress brought together leading international and domestic players, policy makers, government officials and technocrats on a common platform.
At the inaugural ceremony of the congress, Energy and Environment Foundation conferred the prestigious “Energy And Environment Excellence Award-2012” in Gas Sector to Dr.A.K.Balyan, MD & CEO Petronet LNG Limited, for his dynamic and visionary leadership under which Petronet LNG Limited has been playing significant role in the energy sector and has been contributing towards green economy of India.
