The extremely popular Vitrovex glass sphere range from Nautilus Marine Service GmbH now includes a 10” dia version rated to 10,000m operational depth.

The new sphere can be used as a flotation module or as a housing for sensitive deep ocean research equipment. In the latter form the sphere will be supplied with an integral vacuum port and whatever electrical and pressure ports the end user specifies.

Vitrovex glass products are renowned both for the quality of the raw glass, which ensures stable and rugged spheres with remarkable transparency, and for the engineering skills which result in hemisphere sealing surfaces that enable any random two hemispheres to be mated without need for matching.

The larger sized Vitrovex spheres are now available in 10, 13 and 17 inch versions. Small dia hemispheres are also available for a host of applications.
