SeaBird Receives Contract Extension from Spectrum for Hawk Explorer in Brazil

SeaBird Exploration PLC has received an extension from Spectrum on the contract for the Hawk Explorer in Brazil.

The extension has a contract value of approximately USD 7-8 million and is estimated to be completed by September 2012.

The Hawk Explorer has been mobilized in late December to Brazil for the first survey under the Spectrum Frame Agreement (FA) for an initial minimum survey area of 5,000 km.

M/V Hawk Explorer joined the SeaBird fleet for operation in Oct. 2006 after beeing converted to seismic vessel from trawler.
