Greek Ypoyrgeio Ypodomon announces tenders for design, construction, financing, operation, maintenance and operation of a road project through an underwater tunnel.
The aim of a project is to replace the existing bridge between Lefkada and Aitoloakarnania.
According to the company, the scope of work will include the construction of the total road section length of 3 km, including the underwater tunnel.
The starting point will be located on Highway 42 (Amfilochia-Lefkada) and the finish will be at the ring road of the town of Lefkada.
Through the widening of the channel of Lefkada the construction will be possible with the necessary technical work, on total length of 1.1 km, to allow the unhindered passage of vessels through the channel and the simultaneous entry/exit of vehicles on to the island of Lefkada, and the construction of necessary road connections to the existing network.
The deadline for submission is 26.6.2012, and official language for submission is Greek.
