Viper Subsea has signed a new collaboration agreement with Perth based Velocious. The agreement enables both companies, each of whom are already globally recognised as providers of high quality subsea solutions, to expand their offerings to overseas markets and collaborate on product supply and project execution.
Talking about the agreement , Neil Douglas Managing Director of Viper Subsea said: “We are extremely excited about this collaboration between two companies that have a reputation for excellence in their respective fields of expertise. The agreement gives Velocious regional exclusivity and rights to include innovative Viper Subsea products as part of their own service offering, whilst the Velocious range of engineering products and services will complement our own portfolio. The collaboration also means that we instantly improve our regional representation and marketing support and can offer local workshop and engineering services, as well as offshore technicians for the Australian market. Overall, both companies will benefit by being able to exploit the pooled product and engineering capabilities that the collaboration brings.”
Velocious Managing Director, Brett Silich said: “ As a result of the agreement, Velocious will become the first company in Australia with the capability to develop, manufacture and commission loose steel tube flying leads and all associated installation aids – a product for which demand is increasing rapidly for offshore deep water operators. Flying leads will incorporate Viper Subsea’s V-LOCK® stabplate system and Velocious intervention tooling and installation aids. Viper Subsea has an international reputation for reliable and innovative subsea production systems which will complement our remote subsea intervention technologies. The agreement will allow both companies to work on a local level on both sides of the world, providing important exposure for all our products and services.”
