Norway: Ocean Installer Lands Balder Subsea Contract

Ocean Installer announces contract award from ExxonMobil Exploration & Production Norway AS (EEPNAS) for survey and intervention work at the Balder field.

The work awarded from EEPNAS for the Balder field is inspection and maintenance of the subsea control system. The work is planned to be performed in early/mid-May, using the chartered vessel “Normand Clipper”.

“ We are very pleased with this Contract Awarded by EEPNAS. This is also an important milestone for Ocean Installer as this will be the first project executed from “Normand Clipper” under this charter, and we are pleased to be able to provide EEPNAS such a highly efficient vessel”, says Steinar Riise, CEO.

The Balder field is located in blocks 25/10 and 25/11 in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea apprx. 190km west of Stavanger, Norway at a water depth of 125m.
