The Mexican geographic information systems and surveying company Sistemas de Información Geográfica, S.A. de C.V. has purchased an airborne LiDAR system Chiroptera .
SIGSA expands its offer to its customers by now integrating bathymetry surveying into its product offering. The Swedish LiDAR manufacturer Airborne Hydrography was choosen by SIGSA to provide the State of the Art topographic and bathymetric LiDAR Chiroptera.
“SIGSA is expanding its product offering and providing both topographic and bathymetric LiDAR is a natural next step for us as we are growing our business,” says Mr Carlos Salman Gonzalez, CEO of SIGSA in Mexico, adding that it took him 12 months to review and evaluate all the offerings in the LiDAR market. “I did my homework, and I am certain the Chiroptera was our best option.”
SIGSA is one of the largest GIS companies in South America with a large client base within oil and gas, agriculture and for mapping Mexico and other countries in South America.
Airborne Hydrography AB develops and markets airborne LiDAR equipment used for hydrographic and topographic surveys around the world. “Our market is global and our customers are survey companies around the world surveying the expanding need for topographic and hydrographic charts. We are very pleased to have been selected by SIGSA to deliver a Chiroptera system. The Chiroptera is our latest product and the product targets the market for near shore surveys and shoreline detection. However, the versatility of the Chiroptera makes a perfect tool also for high-end corridor mapping applications.”
