Norway based subsea specialist Ocean Installer has started building a VLS and carousel for the laying of umbilicals and flexible flowlines.
The lay spread will be installed on the long-term chartered subsea construction vessel (SCV) “Normand Clipper” and be operational in Q1 2013.

AmClyde Norson Engineering, a division of National Oilwell Varco UK Ltd, has been contracted to build the said VLS and carousel.
