Russian search and rescue vessel Igor Belousov, which will perform search, rescue and salvage of submarines in distress, will be equipped with two submersibles.
The vessel will receive two ARS-600 two-seat unique deepwater submersibles.
The Russian Defense Ministry made a decision in 2011 that the Scottish firm DIVEX will provide the deep-sea diving system for the vessel. The experts from a Russian company, Tetis Pro., will deliver, install and test the new technology.
Construction of Igor Belousov commenced in 2005 in St. Petersburg at Admiralty Shipyards. It is still under construction due to a series of setbacks.
