Ramboll Oil & Gas has landed its first contract for Gazprom’s top development priority, the Kirinskoye gas and condensate field.
The field is a part of the Kirinsky block in the major Sakhalin 3 area located 28 kilometres offshore the island of Sakhalin in the Sea of Okhotsk.
The area is part of the Arctic region, with up to seven months of ice cover per year. The field holds over 100 billion cubic metres of gas and 11.4 million tonnes of gas condensate. Gas will be produced from the field by Russia’s first subsea production complex supplied by FMC Technologies.
Development of the installation
MRTS is the major Russian subsea service company holding the main contract from Gazprom for installation and service for the Kirinskoye field. Ramboll has been engaged by MRTS to perform critical installation analysis and assist in development of the installation procedures for the challenging Okhotsk Sea conditions.
