After completing PVT MERCURY, on 3rd June 2012 Dung Quat Shipyard (DQS) organized inauguration and delivery ceremony of the 104,000 DWT Crude Oil Tanker a breakthrough of Vietnam’s shipbuilding industry
The 104,000 DWT crude oil tanker is the first big deadweight ton, as well as modern vessel constructed in Vietnam. This product required a great deal of precision engineering and complicated equipment installation as well as skillful labors and high technology to be applied in the construction of this newbuild.
Attending the ceremony are Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh – Member of Central Committee – Director of the Institute Supreme People’s Procuracy, Nguyen Van Cong – Deputy Minister of Transportation, Mr Le Duong Quang – Deputy Minister of trade and Industry. For Quang Ngai province, there are Mr. Vo Van Thuong – Member of Central Committee – Party Secretary of Quang Ngai Province, Mr. Cao Khoa – Chairman of Quang Ngai province. Regarding leaders of the Group, there are Mr. Phung Dinh Thuc, chairman of Petrovietnam, Vu Quang Nam – Group Deputy General Director.
