FoundOcean will be co-exhibiting with BASF Construction Chemicals at RenewableUK Global Offshore Wind 2012, the 11th annual event dedicated to offshore wind energy. On Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th June, FoundOcean and BASF representatives will be at stand #501 .

FoundOcean has over 45 years’ experience of subsea and offshore foundation grouting for the global oil and gas and offshore renewables construction industries. The company has expanded its services to the offshore wind sector, having completed foundation grouting at Ormonde and Thornton Bank offshore wind farms, and winning contracts for three further wind farms comprising 248 structures: 88 jackets and 160 monopiles.

Andy Venn , Marketing Director for FoundOcean said, “Marrying FoundOcean’s vast offshore experience with BASF’s world leading chemical manufacturing capabilities means that foundation installers and wind farm developers can be confident in the quality of the grouted connection we’re providing.”

It is this strong partnership that helped secure the Nordsee Ost OWFcontract which started in June 2012. The 295 MW capacity wind farm will be installed in German waters on four-legged jacket foundations. The 49 foundations (48 turbine and one transformer substation) will be grouted to the seabed using BASF’s ultra high strength Exagrout Masterflow® 9500.
