The HUSUM WindEnergy trade fair expects to welcome about 1,200 exhibitors and 36,000 visitors to the largest international trade fair for wind energy worldwide, from 18 to 22 September 2012.

Every two years Husum, the harbour town on the North Sea coast between Hamburg and the Danish border, becomes the platform for the international wind industry. This is where visitors and exhibitors from over 90 nations come together over five days for HUSUM WindEnergy.

Known worldwide simply as “HUSUM”, this exhibition is the leading trade fair for the international wind industry. Having grown continuously for over 20 years, HUSUM WindEnergy has grown once again for 2012.

Over a total exhibition space of 58,000 sq m, more than 1,200 exhibitors will be representing the whole spectrum of the wind industry and showing the latest technical developments. With around 36,000 trade visitors expected, this will also be a new visitor record.

And yet HUSUM retains the almost family-like community feeling that was prevalent in the early years of the wind industry.

Patrons of the 2012 exhibition are the EU commissioners Günther Öttinger (energy) and Connie Hedegaard (climate), both political personalities whose input will be bound to provoke discussion amongst international exhibitors and visitors.
