On June 6th, Kenz Cranes, well-known specialist in offshore lifting and hoisting solutions, successfully delivered the new build 12t ram luffing pedestal crane.
The crane was handed over to the Sea Trucks Group (STG) for installation onboard the newly build DP-2 construction support vessel ‘Jascon 55’. Last month, a 120t Kenz crane was already delivered for the same vessel.
The 12t pedestal crane is custom-designed and will be used for offshore construction and subsea installation work up to a water depth of 1,800m and is equipped with Active Heave Compensation (AHC). The installation and load testing took place at the Kenz Figee Group construction quay in Zaandam.
The ‘Jascon 55’ will be used for the installation of pipeline spool pieces, umbilicals and modules, inspections services and drilling support services. The vessel primarily will be operating in the North Atlantic Ocean near West-Africa.
