Norway: Det Norske Welcomes New Chief Financial Officer

Det norske announces the appointment of Mr. Alexander Krane (36) as its new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Krane has an MSc degree (”siviløkonom”) and is a Norwegian State Authorized Public Accountant. Det norske announces the appointment of Mr. Alexander Krane (36) as its new Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Krane has an MSc degree (”siviløkonom”) and is a Norwegian State Authorized Public Accountant. He comes to Det norske from Aker ASA, where he served as Corporate Controller. Previous positions have been with Norse Energy Corp. ASA and KPMG. Mr. Krane will assume his new position during the third quarter of 2012.

“Alexander’s experience and knowledge from auditing, the oil industry and from the supplier industry will prove highly beneficial to the company’s further growth ambitions, and we are looking forward to working with him”, states CEO of Det norske, Mr. Erik Haugane.

Det norske oljeselskap ASA (DETNOR) specialize in extracting petroleum resources on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). We are an ambitious company with significant exploration activity. Recently we have taken part in some major discoveries, Johan Sverdrup being the single most important. We now face several development projects, among them Jette as operator, and Draupne.

Det norske has its headquarter located in Trondheim, and offices in Oslo and Harstad.
