AGR, the world’s largest independent well management group, has appointed Bill Fletcher as Vice President of Well Management (UK and West Africa).

Previously Operations Manager at Senergy for four years, he succeeds Ian Burdis who has been made AGR’s Executive Vice President for UK, West Africa and Asia Pacific.

Fletcher holds a BSc (Eng) Honours degree from The University of Aberdeen and is a practiced well engineering and construction professional with 33 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. He previously worked in management roles within operations and engineering for companies including Chevron, Hess, Elf and Talisman.

Ian Burdis commented: “We at AGR are very fortunate to have Bill join our team and I am personally looking forward to renewing our working relationship after having worked together for several years at Hess.

“When looking for someone to fill this position I was keen to secure a well respected industry professional with experience of leadership positions within operator and contractor companies in the upstream oil and gas industry.

“Bill ticks all of the boxes and I know he will apply all of his abilities and experience to continue the technical, operational and commercial growth of AGR.”
