Norway: Solstad Secures Contract for Two AHTS Vessels

Statoil ASA has exercised its option to extend their present contract with Solstad Offshore ASA (SOFF), for hire of the large AHTS “Normand Ferking” (build -07) for 1 year. With this extension the vessel will be on contract to September 2013. Statoil still holds options to extend with further 2 x 1

Statoil ASA has exercised its option to extend their present contract with Solstad Offshore ASA (SOFF), for hire of the large AHTS “Normand Ferking” (build -07) for 1 year. With this extension the vessel will be on contract to September 2013. Statoil still holds options to extend with further 2 x 1 year.

In addition, SOFF has entered into a new contract with Kystverket (Norwegian Coastal Administration) for the AHTS “Normand Jarl” (build -85). This contract have a duration of 1 year firm, and in addition 2 yearly options.

The commencement of this contract will be 1.1.2013, in continuation of the present contract with the same client.

This contract is subject to approval of funds from the Norwegian Parliament.

The total value of the firm parts of the two contracts are about Nok 150 mill.

150 000 000 Norwegian kroner = 24.98835 million U.S. dollars
