Oman Container Lines Inc. (OCL) announced the most recent addition to their growing network of independent container feeder connections.
The India Express (IEX) common feeder service will create a unique, direct link between Nhava Sheva, India and Salalah.
Starting in July, the fixed-day weekly service will connect APM Terminals Mumbai, the leading port facility in one of the most attractive growth markets, and the Port of Salalah, the region’s second largest port, by way of Oman Container Lines’ OCL Eagle, a 2,860 TEU capacity vessel.
Nicholas Fisher, CEO of Oman Shipping Company, says: “ This is the second container feeder service that Oman Container Lines Inc has established in the last six months that links Omani cargo through Omani ports via an Omani shipping line. The IEX feeder service will supplement the connectivity we’ve already successfully established between Port of Salalah, Port Sultan Qaboos and Jebel Ali with our Gulf Express Product.”

The OCL Eagle will make its maiden call from APM Terminals Mumbai at Nhava Sheva on July 3.
