Sortland,(49) currently the CEO of Ross Offshore has more than 20 years experience from the oil & gas industry.

Prior to Ross, Sortland has held roles as the CEO of Subsea Technology Group and as Regional Vice President for Subsea7 in Norway. Sortland spent 18 years in Statoil predominantly in areas of business development, commercial negotiations and strategy work – in managerial positions since the mid 90ies.

Per Hatlem was appointed CEO of Apply ASA in September 2011. Hatlem’s task was to structure and position the Group and the five relatively self running Business Areas for further growth and profit following the terminated IPO process in summer 2011. “ It has been a exiting and challenging year with a lot of good processes in order to develop the organization and operations. All five Business Areas are now on track with building order reserve and improving margins,” says Per Hatlem who will return to his Partner position in HitecVision after handover period together with Peder Sortland.

Apply has over the last few years gained an attractive position in some of the fastest growing segments within the oil and gas industry. The company has about 2,000 employees, more than 3 BNOK in turnover and is targeting its business towards the activities at the Norwegian Continental Shelf, onshore and in selected international markets. Apply includes five business areas; MMO & EPCI, Living Quarters & Assembly, Subsea, Systems & Products and Solutions & Services, of which the two first-mentioned are the largest.
