Bergen Group Hanøytangen is awarded contract for a short yard stay for the accommodation rig Safe Scandinavia in July this year.

The contract value for Bergen Group Hanøytangen is estimated to NOK 8-10 million, and is based on an option agreement from earlier this year.

Safe Scandinavia, which is operated by Prosafe Offshore Limited (Prosafe), will during the yard stay be prepared for a new location, including changing of telescopic gangway height and some maintenance work.

Safe Scandinavia was built in 1984 at the Aker Verdal yard to an Aker H-3.2E design. The rig was the first floating accommodation unit to be awarded Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) by the Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority.
