Ezra Holdings Limited announced the appointment of a Singapore corporate veteran Mr Eng Heng Nee Philip to its Board of directors. Mr Eng will take up his appointment as Ezra’s Non-Executive/ Independent Director with effect from 1 July 2012.

Mr Eng has more than 40 years of corporate experience in various sectors, in particular, distribution and retail, and properties. He spent 23 years with the Jardine Cycle & Carriage Group before retiring in February 2005 as Group Managing Director.

Mr Eng is the Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Frasers Centrepoint Asset Management Ltd and mDR Limited, and a Director in Hup Soon Global Corporation Limited, in addition to serving on the Boards of various public and private companies in Singapore. He is also Singapore’s Non-Resident Ambassador to Greece and High Commissioner to Cyprus.

Mr Lionel Lee, Ezra’s Managing Director , said: “With his years of extensive corporate experience and leadership, Mr Eng’s presence on our Board will add to investors’ confidence and strengthen our corporate governance. Together with our senior management team, I look forward to his appointment and his counsel, which will further establish the EMAS brand name.”
