Statoil has received consent to carry out drilling and completion with Transocean Searcher in the Norwegian Sea.

The consent relates to drilling and completion of production wells on the Tyrihans field . The scheduled start-up date is 16 May 2012, with a duration until 20 March 2013.

Tyrihans is located in the Norwegian Sea, approx. 25 kilometres east of Åsgard. The field is part of production licence 091.

Transocean Searcher is a Bingo 3000 design, built in 1983. Transocean Searcher is owned by Transocean Offshore. It received an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) in December 2003.
