Viking Supply Ships has received a six-month contract extension with Talisman Energy (UK) for the SBS Tempest platform supply vessel.
The primary function of the vessel is to transport supplies to and from offshore oil platforms.
The new charter extension will mean that the vessel will continue to operate from Talisman’s logistics base in Peterhead, Scotland. SBS Tempest, of VS470 MkII Design, has worked for Talisman since January 2006. The current contract is expected to expire in December 2012.
