Talisman Energy (UK) Limited has extended an existing one-year contract for six months firm.

Operating vessel is the SBS Tempest, a platform supply vessel of the VS470 MkII Design, owned by Viking Supply Ships. The primary function of the vessel is to transport supplies to and from offshore oil platforms.

The new charter extension will mean that the vessel will continue to operate from Talisman’s logistics base in Peterhead, Scotland.

The vessel is operated by SBS Marine in Aberdeen.

The PSV is intended to carry out regular supply functions and cargo transport for the oil industry. The vessel is designed with a well deck for maximum protection for cargo and crew.

Talisman had chartered SBS Tempest in January 2006, however the contract will expire at the end of this year.
