Greg Kerr, Member of Parliament for West Nova, announced yesterday that the Government of Canada will provide additional funding to the Digby Harbour Port Association to allow all urgent repairs and improvements at the Digby Harbour to start, including the construction of a breakwater.
“The Digby Harbour Port Association has been instrumental in managing the harbour in recent years and the Government of Canada is proud to support their continuing work, ” said Kerr. “ The planned work will support the fishing industry and benefit the local economy by creating jobs and promoting growth.”
“The Government of Canada is committed to supporting Canada’s coastal communities ,” said MP Kerr. “ This investment will help the Digby Harbour Port Association develop important infrastructure to support marine-related activities at Digby Harbour and throughout the entire region.”
