China Oilfield Services Limited “COSL” or the “Group”）recently received an official contract award letter from PTT Exploration & Production PCL “PTTEP”, confirming that it has won the tender for 3D seismic collection in Andaman Sea, Thailand.
This will be the first international winter 3D seismic collection operation for COSL’s geophysical segment in 2012.
With excellent operational capabilities and good reputation in the market, particularly the high safety, quality and efficiency standards the seismic vessel fleet, led by HYSY719, exhibited when it performed in a project for PTTEP in winter 2011, COSL successfully won this tender amid fierce competition against other renowned international geophysical companies. Winning this project will significantly boost operating efficiency of COSL’s geophysical equipment, as winter has been historically a low season for offshore geophysical operations in China.
