Vattenfall, Swedish power company, will see its DanTysk offshore wind farm connected to the Germany’s power grid with a delay of up to five months, reports Bloomberg.

Siemens spokesman Torsten Wolf stated that the link is scheduled for completion by the spring 2014, even though it was planned to be ready by the very start of 2014.

The delay comes a few days after RWE announced it will postpone the decision on Innogy Nordsee 1 offshore wind farm for 2013.

This is not the only delay in connecting wind farms to the grid. Early this year, EON said Amrumbank West wind farm connection will be delayed for 15 months.
