HR Wallingford has appointed Samantha Dawson as business manager to work across a portfolio of power sector projects.

From 1 August 2012 Samantha will be working with Mark Liddiard, power sector business manager, to support existing projects and to grow new opportunities in the thermal, nuclear and marine renewable energy sectors.

Mark explained: “Our recent successes in the fields of nuclear new build, tidal energy and large scale power and water projects mean we now need to expand our team in to these important business areas. Samantha and I are looking forward to working together with both new and existing clients from across the power sector.”

HR Wallingford has headquarters in the UK and operates globally. Its international offices serve key markets where the demand for electricity is growing rapidly, and alternative sources of generation are being actively implemented in response to concerns over emissions.

The company provides specialist consultancy for power generation clients in the fields of engineering and environmental hydraulics and is involved in the development of power and desalination projects worldwide.
