Baker Hughes Incorporated announced today that the international rig count for July 2012 was 1,264, down 21 from the 1,285 counted in June 2012, and up 114 from the 1,150 counted in July 2011 .
The international offshore rig count for July 2012 was 286, down 19 from the 305 counted in June 2012 and down 21 from the 307 counted in July 2011.
The average U.S. rig count for July 2012 was 1,945, down 27 from the 1,972 counted in June 2012 and up 45 from the 1,900 counted in July 2011. The average Canadian rig count for July 2012 was 307, up 80 from the 227 counted in June 2012 and down 40 from the 347 counted in July 2011.
The worldwide rig count for July 2012 was 3,516, up 32 from the 3,484 counted in June 2012 and up 119 from the 3,397 counted in July 2011.
