Foresight Orders Jack-Up Rig from COSCO (China)

China’s COSCO (Dalian) Shipyard Co. Ltd., has secured a USD170 million contract from Talland Navigation, a subsidiary of UK-based Foresight Limited, to construct an offshore jack-up drilling rig. China’s COSCO (Dalian) Shipyard Co. Ltd., has secured a USD170 million contract from Talland Navigation, a subsidiary of UK-based Foresight Limited, to construct an offshore jack-up drilling rig.

The rig, of LeTourneau Super 116E Class design, with drilling depth of up to 30,000 feet, will be capable of operating in 350 feet water, with accommodation for up to 120 persons onboard.
