FAR Appoints New CFO (Australia)

East and West Africa focused oil and gas explorer, FAR Ltd, has appointed Peter Thiessen as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary. East and West Africa focused oil and gas explorer, FAR Ltd, has appointed Peter Thiessen as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary.

Mr Thiessen was previously CFO and company secretary of Flow Energy Limited, prior to the merger with FAR Ltd. His appointment coincides with the closure of FAR Ltd’s Perth office and relocation to Melbourne.

As a consequence Colin Harper, the present CFO and Company Secretary will leave FAR on September 30, 2012. Mr Harper has made an exemplary contribution to FAR Ltd over the last five years and the board publicly expresses its gratitude for his dedicated service since 2007.

Mr Thiessen has previously spent over 10 years with BDO and Deloitte global accounting and professional services firms. He has spent the last 4 years contracting independently within the mining and exploration industry. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting).

In accordance with the ASX Listing Rule 3.14, FAR announces the registered office of the company has changed to Level 17, 530 Collins Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000, effective immediately.
