Foster Wheeler AG announced today that the company is planning to open a new upstream office in Woking, UK, expanding its existing upstream capability in response to its success in this market sector and the growth opportunities this market offers.

The new office in Dukes Court, Woking, is being established to provide specialist services to the offshore upstream market. The office will offer a full spectrum of services for greenfield and brownfield developments, including concept selection, pre-front-end engineering design (pre-FEED), FEED, detailed design, project management consultancy, engineering, procurement and construction/construction management for offshore oil and gas projects.

“Key to our Upstream strategy is to focus very strongly on expanding our existing upstream skills base and expertise, particularly in offshore,” said Clive Vaughan, Chief Executive Officer, Foster Wheeler Upstream . “The new office, which is planned to open on October 1, 2012, provides access to the world-class offshore skills and expertise available in the Woking/London corridor which, together with the further development of our existing global upstream resources and track record, gives us a strong foundation upon which to grow our upstream market share.”
