Carole Barbeau has been announced as the new President and CEO of GL Garrad Hassan North America, with immediate effect.
Mrs. Barbeau brings extensive experience of the renewable energy industry and will be responsible for managing the activities of the renewable energy consultancy on the North American continent, working from the Canadian office in Montreal.

The whole industry is facing a challenging time in the USA and she will provide the strong leadership needed in this environment. She also has an excellent knowledge of the buoyant Canadian market .”
Previously, Carole Barbeau was Senior Vice President of GL Garrad Hassan and before the merger of Germanischer Lloyd (GL) with Garrad Hassan, was the CEO of the GL subsidiary Helimax. After studying sciences, environmental sciences and civil & environmental engineering, Carole Barbeau held positions at Dessau as Department Head – Site Environmental Remediation and as General Manager of Montreal Biogenie S.R.D.C. Inc., a group member of EnGlobe Corp. Since October 2011, Mrs. Barbeau has also been a member of the CanWEA Board of Directors.
