From 4 to 7 September Europe’s most important maritime trade fair will take place.
The 25th Shipbuilding, Machinery & Marine technology fair in Hamburg, in short: SMM, is the ultimate meeting place for the international shipbuilding industry. With over 2000 exhibitors from 60 countries, 50.000 participants and 30 country pavilions, the trade fair will be bigger than ever.
Not only SMM 2012 is expected to break all records, the Maritime by Holland Pavilion will have a new record by hosting 51 companies and expanding 950m2 of the exhibition space. Including all Dutch exhibitors at the fair, the Netherlands has the largest international representation.
Special Purpose Shipping
Designing and building special or complex vessels is one of the Dutch maritime specialties. That is exactly why this theme was chosen for the Maritime by Holland Pavilion. Visitors will be able to view the very latest applications and innovations on ‘Special Purpose Shipping’ at the Pavilion.

For example, on Thursday September 6 at 17.00 hours, a true Holland Herring Party will take place in the Holland Lounge of the Pavilion. This networking event is organised by HME in cooperation with the Dutch Embassy in Berlin.
