The development of the shipbuilding industry will help Ukraine to solve the problem with the sale of metal.
The Prime Minister Nykolay Azarov disclosed it on air of the Nykolaev Regional State Broadcasting Company.
“ For us, the shipbuilding is one of the key industries that can use our domestic metal. Currently, there are problems with the sale of metal, and the metallurgical industry – is one of the foundations of our economy ,” Nykolay Azarov said.
According to the Prime Minister, within a crisis on world markets, increase in domestic consumption of steel products will contribute to economic development.
“ For us, usage of metal is that part of economy which in crisis on foreign markets will enable to develop Ukraine’s economy, ” Nykolay Azarov said.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister noted the Government would create the most comfortable conditions for the domestic shipbuilding development.
“ We can’t buy the ships somewhere while we have plenty of domestic metal and technologies for their construction “, the Prime Minister emphasized.
