Abu Dhabi Crude Oil Pipeline Is Operational

Pipelines International reported that Abu Dhabi Crude Oil Pipeline, United Arab Emirates, has been commissioned and is now operational.

It is approximately 424 km long, with a 48 inch diameter, consisting of three sections. The subsea section is 13 km long, the offshore section is 19 km long and the onshore section is 405 km long.

The pipeline extends from the Habshan Oil Field to the Fujairah Port.

The company which was awarded the extension of the contract, The International Petroleum Investment Company said: “The scale of the project is immense and encompasses the construction of pumping stations, a main oil terminal and offshore loading facilities at Fujairah, in addition to the installation of the main pipeline.”
