The U.S. Coast Guard will soon exploration of three geographic sites where Lady Cecelia, a 34-year-old drag-style bottom trawl fishing vessel, may have sunk, gsnmagazine.com reports.
By using an underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV), they will try to determine the reason for this accident which occurred on 10 March, 2012 in the Pacific Ocean about 20 miles off the Southwest coast of the State of Washington. The ROV will also be used to identify any damage to the hull that occurred prior to the vessel’s sinking.
The crew searching for the sunken vessel will travel board a 225-foot cutter to three possible sites where Lady Cecelia might be found.
