Speaking at the 2012 SATNAC media event Nombulelo Moholi, CEO of Telkom, said that the company will not increase its submarine cable capacities for the next two or three years.
Moholi stated that the company has enough dormant capacity on its current cable systems to be able to meet the bandwidth needs.
“Of course there can be a data explosion which will mean that we have to relook our strategy,” said Moholi .
