Wood Group PSN (WGPSN) has announced the appointment of Finlay Maclennan as director of its Europe, Russia and Caspian (ERC) business.
Mr Maclennan brings almost 30 years oil and gas experience to the role and will be based in Moscow. Responsible for WGPSN’s operations in Kazakhstan, mainland Russia, Sakhalin Island, the Caspian region and Eastern Europe, he will also be tasked with identifying future growth opportunities for WGPSN in the region.
Originally from the Hebridean island of Benbecula, Mr Maclennan has worked for WGPSN since 1997. He was latterly business manager in Sakhalin Island, playing a key role in the start up and development of the company’s business there. Prior to this he worked in various project management roles and spent three years as the assignment manager for a major WGPSN contract in Kazakhstan.
As WGPSN ERC director, Mr Maclennan will report to the company’s international director, Jerome Lynch. His role is effective immediately.
