Galfar has been awarded an RO10.9 Million (USD 28.12 Million) contract for the construction of a fishing harbour in the Wilayat of Barka by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.
Jai K Salvi, vice president of business development and tendering at Galfar , said that construction of the fishing harbour will start within two months and will be completed within 18 months.
He said, “ It will be a standard fishing harbour with two breakwaters between 450m-600m length each. The harbour will have a 100m long quay wall for berthing small fishing vessels. The harbour will also house a number of buildings and other facilities, for related functions, which are not included in this contract. ”
