Det norske oljeselskap ASA, has as partner in PL 533 (20 percent), received indication of hydrocarbons presence in the Salina prospect, where Eni Norge AS is the operator.
Drilling operations in the reservoir section are still at an initial phase and the final results are thus not yet available.
The well, previously known as Pulk, is situated 54 km to the south west and on geological trend with the Skrugard and Havis discoveries.
Lundin, which holds 20 percent interest in PL533, explained that the main objective of the well was to prove the presence of hydrocarbons in the reservoir.
Eni Norge AS is operator of the licence with 40 percent interest. Other partners are Det norske oljeselskap ASA with 20 percent and RWE Dea Norge AS with 20 percent interest.
