In Hamburg Nordic Yards presents its latest developments at SMM (Shipbuilding, Machinery and Marine Technology), the leading trade fair for the global maritime industry, until 7 September.

With an entirely new trade fair stand the shipyard group presents its expertise as a maritime systems integrator at Stand 209 in Hall B4. In addition to high-tech ships for use in the Arctic, the focus is on offshore service vessels, highly complex offshore constructions and systems solutions. Apart from current projects and innovations visitors are also able to view the company’s latest contract, a maintenance vessel for offshore wind parks.

“SMM is the ideal platform for Nordic Yards to present itself to an expert international public as a maritime systems integrator”, states Dr. Günter Sens, Senior Vice President Sales and Project Design , adding: “We are participating with a team of Nordic experts for the purpose of presenting our portfolio and expertise in the management of major maritime projects in the course of in-depth discussions with interested parties and potential customers.”

The Nordic team led by Dr. Vitaly Yusufov has already made successful use of the first few days of the fair, presenting the successful reorientation of the company as a maritime systems integrator to, among others, the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Minister for Commerce Harry Glawe and Eckhardt Rehberg, member of the CDU/CSU parliamentary party with responsibility for the maritime industry. The restructuring of the global and domestic energy industry in particular is opening up profitable new markets, on which Nordic Yards has already successfully made its mark.
